I ask that clients provide no less than 48 hours notice if the session needs to be cancelled or postponed. Failure to do so may result in a Cancellation Fee.

In order to answer this, ask yourself ‘how many times have I tried to do this on my own and gotten nowhere?’ The only honest way I can answer this is by letting you know that past clients have shown great appreciation for me coming into their lives and helping them sort through the clutter.

Many have expressed that they didn’t know where or how to begin, they feel lighter, and they couldn’t have done it without me. For some, I am only needed for one session, simply to get them motivated to go it alone. For others, they find it difficult to get started without me present; and that is perfectly fine.

You can pay with either cash, cheque, or via bank transfer.

The Next Chapter Decluttering is a Professional Member of the Institute of Professional Organisers, and is bound their Code of Conduct. I do have signage on the back of my car, and if you would rather I park away from your home to avoid passers by seeing this, I am happy to oblige. In some instances I may ask to take Before and After photos, which are kept anonymous, and only for the purpose of other potential clients to see the differences that can be achieved. With your permission, they may be added to the website.

I am not a Registered Clinical Psychologist, but I do hold a Bachelor Degree in Psychology.

It depends on the item. Some of the larger de-clutters (where we are going through the entire house) may need a Skip Bin (additional cost) to get rid of the things are damaged in anyway and no longer useable or salvageable. Items that can be donated to local charities are boxed or bagged up, and I take them with me and give to the charity of your choice.

If there are items that are worth a relatively decent amount of money, I can help you to sell online via the local Buy, Swap, Sell pages on Facebook. If we are decluttering to put the house on the market, or it is a Deceased Estate, I will offer to set up and run a Garage Sale on your behalf.

I am located on the Northern Rivers of NSW, and service any location from Tweed Heads to Grafton, and out to Kyogle. However, towns beyond the immediate Lismore/Ballina area incur a travel fee (dependent on the time it takes to get there).

You will not be forced to get rid of anything that you don’t want to. All decisions are entirely up to you, however the reason why you have contacted me is because you are feeling overwhelmed with the process of decluttering on your own. When there are items that you are unsure about, have doubts, or cannot decide, I will ask you questions about the item to help you come to a decision. Remember, our goal is to get your home free of the stuff that has been weighing you down and adding stress to your life. But nothing gets thrown out without your permission.
